Subscription Terms

The short version:

You're enrolling in a recurring subscription that renews and bills automatically until you cancel.
Your first box is 30% off; it then renews at the standard price (e.g., Focus Coffee $27 first box, then $39/month).
You can skip, change, or cancel yourself online in about three clicks, anytime — no phone call, no retention hoops.

How subscriptions work

When you choose a subscription, you authorize Understory to charge your payment method on the cadence you select (e.g., every 30 days) at the then-current subscription price, automatically, until you cancel. We'll email you an order confirmation for each shipment.

Pricing, promotions & renewal

Introductory offers (like 30% off your first box) apply to the first order only; subsequent orders renew at the standard subscription price shown at checkout.
We'll give you advance notice by email of any change to your subscription price before it takes effect.
Applicable taxes and any shipping fees are shown at checkout.

Skip, change, or cancel

Sign in to your account and open Manage subscription.
Skip the next shipment, change products or frequency, or cancel — it takes about three clicks.
Cancellations take effect for any order that hasn't yet been billed/processed. You can also email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Canceling is at least as easy as signing up — that's a promise, and increasingly the law.

Refunds

Your first order is covered by our 60-day guarantee. For later subscription orders, contact us — we're reasonable. If a renewal caught you by surprise, tell us and we'll make it right.
